Some 3D Animals

This year I've decided to switch to a simpler 3D image program called Sculptris (free from the internet).  It starts out like a ball of clay that you manipulate into a shape, which is great because I consider our program an ART class before a computer class.  Here are a few of the best examples of Sculptris animals that the grade 11 students created.  3D inventions will be added soon.

ASM4O Culture Symbol

What you see below are symbols that our grade 12 media arts students created in order to represent their cultural lives as teenagers. While the symbols are simple and direct, the time and thought that went into these is complex. To learn more, check out the student's individual blogs (Chey, Katelyn, Chey, and Angela).

ASM3O Photo + Lyric

Merry Christmas!
I have been slow at posting new work because the students have been keeping me busy with their assignments.
For this assignment, our grade 11 media arts students were asked to combine the lyrics from their favourite band with a photograph that they took. The challenges were to manipulate both the photos and lyrics in an artistic, subtle way. If you would like to see more examples, check out each student's blog.
PEACE! Miss G.
