My Hidden Self (ASM3M)

In this assignment, the students created a piece on Photoshop that would show their hidden self, a part of themselves that perhaps only their family and friends see.  It's a big leap to learn how to compose a picture in a dynamic way, and I see lots of successful pictures here.

Photography with Txt

For this assignment, students were asked to take the lyrics from their favourite band and combine a snippet of the text with their own photography.  The final product was to tell a story that the viewer could dwell on, avoiding a direct link with the original words.  What I love about art assignments is that even with the same instructions, every students produces something completely unique!



Some 3D Animals

This year I've decided to switch to a simpler 3D image program called Sculptris (free from the internet).  It starts out like a ball of clay that you manipulate into a shape, which is great because I consider our program an ART class before a computer class.  Here are a few of the best examples of Sculptris animals that the grade 11 students created.  3D inventions will be added soon.
